John Totin

The business of facilitating the moving up and on process has always been in John’s blood.
As a young boy growing up in New Jersey, he watched his grandfather construct homes for
families on the East Coast and felt a strong connection with the industry. Before finding his
true calling as a REALTOR® in 2006, John worked in the mortgage lending industry.
Around that same time he experienced another gravitational shift that would bring him
and his growing family to San Antonio. The move would prove to not only unite the Totins
with once-lost members of the family, but would ultimately provide a setting where the family
could plant lasting roots and where John could work to establish a business that helps

Derrell Skillman
Early on in his life, the word “home” carried a special connotation for Derrell, who grew up
calling many places home throughout his father’s 20-year tenure in the military. In relocating
with his family all over the world, he learned first-hand how important relocation services are
to military families and felt his calling in the real estate industry.
In 1985, the Skillmans landed in San Antonio where Derrell embarked on his own path.
Starting in bank management, he garnered a well-versed background in finance before
working in the title business for two years. Gathering from his experience in these aspects of
the industry, Derrell has established a business in Nest Seekers that brings a well-rounded,
