I just finished reading article The Biggest Web Design Mistakes of 2004 by Vincent Flanders, which I'm pretty sure would be an eye opener for many people that create their web sites for business and other purposed. The article covers failures of idea/purpose of creating a web site; presentation; web standards and usability; navigation and design elements; marketing strategy and content; flash and graphic elements. The author directly pointing out most common failures on real examples, at the same time describes it in jokingly manner. Some example are old and have already been fixed. I really enjoined reading it - I think anyone from armatures to professional web developers will find it interesting.
