Default AA sites down

I had a moment this morning when I actually could get the AA forum.

I think it was Anna that replied - I could be wrong about that - but the gist of it was originally the 3.0 sites were down and the interior data pages.

When I tried posting a reply - I couldn't - it went down too. I tried going to other AA sites - they too were MIA as well as the AA home page.

So - for all I know now - I use to have an AA site which is MIA along with the 301s and worst of all....

...I had been running almost all my email through my AA email @PinehurstListings.com & @ARES-S.com - that will probably be a good thing to change.

Is there anything still up on the left coast?

You can get limited info at www.blaawg.com. I understand they have sent everyone except customer support and the technical people home.

I am so glad that I came here last week and was doing some reading. I always click the link on my AA home page but guess what!!

OK--quick hi to Max--haven't been around any of the forums much in a while. Way to busy!! I reclaimed my life last week when I hired an assistant. Tired of working 15 hours a day and still being behind.

Now for a stupid question--internet 101 when I took it through e-powered said you NEVER house all of your servers in the same building. In the case of AA wouldn't you house servers in many different areas with as many clients as they have? I'm sorry if this is technically a stupid question but come on . . . .tired of this.

Is there a way to have my email go through my local board without loosing my domain name in the email address? I don't want an @grar address--I want to keep it @LiveInWestMI.com

I CAN NOT believe they have been down this long!!!

Sorry for this to be the reason of you visit, but I can't say I'm not glad to see you here again BTW, congratulations on your expansion

I don't think there is a way of doing that. You can forward your emails from AA domain to whatever you want, but it won't help if their servers down. Well, at least I don't know any other way.

The only idea I can come up with... buy the LiveInWestMI.net and setup your email there. Then change all your emails on AA site to @LiveInWestMI.net. At the same time make the .net domain to 301 redirect to the .com

... can't come up with anything better right now.

Good to "chat" with you again Max!! I heard through the grapevine you are doing very well for yourself--good for you!!! Technically I was on last week scanning over things. Actually trying to decide what to do with my AA site.

I actually asked the question on the AA site about the email and it seems like they said yes . . . .but it may be like you said that it still has to be routed through them. When they come back up it is going to be the first thing I do!!!

Well gotta go see if my corn is boiling yet. Let's all say a quick prayer that the AA sites come up soon!!!
