If you have any ideas on where thinkg should be to make it easier and useful let me know. Do you we show PR for links now? BTW, check out this page http://www.ibsteam.net/wsnlinks/links/detail/328 - well the page sucks but the idea behind it - to have in the directory unique related content about your site that it would give more benefit to your site. If you'd like to have a page like that, I mean full of content with a few links to your main pages please feel free to make something up and e-mail it to me - I will put it up. I wanna see if it will rank somewhere for you.

#11 is details page from the directory - I think if I feature it with more content very relevant to the title, it will go up in ranking.. I believe.. so you can take advantage while we are new

Right now, it would be a miracle if a link from anywhere showed up on Google for us. In early August, we dropped like rock in google's indexed pages (from 249 to 20), and from 10 backlinks to 2. It is finally beginning to rebound, but very painful and very slow. Give me a few days and I'll come up with something to send you. I think that is a great idea - it's nice to be able to read a bit more about a site before going there.

how is it going? Any improvements in your linking? Do you think sending e-mails out manually would do better?

What about the idea of placing relevant page in your link details in the directory that I mentioned in previous post?

I'm getting very little response to my link requests. I wonder if manual requests would work better. I don't know.

I printed up your sample page today to work on one for Irv. Will get it to you soon.

.. its strange. Vell the conversion rate of requests sent is 14% so far and I'm promoting a web site that has PR1, so I think that also affects me. So far I have 51 positive replies and 1 negative... 14% is very low I think. I need to work on the request letter may be it will improve the conversion rate. It would be much better to have more testers to see how they doing with their sites.

Also, I think I will set up a checkmark for those that do want receive link exchange requests and for those that don't. Plus it will send them out an e-mail on possibility of receiving an e-mail from other directory members. May be this will make a difference - kinda educate people about what we're doing here I'll work on it.
