Default Service Vendors to Real Estate Agents

Why is it that those vendors providing internet marketing services to real estate agents - such web site hosting, IDX service, e-mail drip campaigns, etc. provide such poor service to real estate agents?

On June 17 an IDX service provider put in place an upgrade - there was no advance information as to what the changes were going to be and the upgrade itself, IMHO, is a bust.

Problems encountered:
- iframe of the results needed to have adjustments to height and width, the new presentation was wider and doubled the number of listings shown.
- URL's for presentation of results were changed, without notification of this change to customers, now in the process of changing over 160 URL's.
- Existing presentation of results with the old URL's shows nothing that is relative to the neighborhood or community.
- Prospective clients are getting thousands of listings, one prospect got over 12,000 listings!
- Provider servers are slow and down, so corrections cannot be done.
- Customer service call center voicemail system is full.

Another service providers have had a week of unplanned downtime due to an internal electrical problem.

Still another service provider changed their service to limit the number of e-mails per month after they responded the number of e-mails was unlimited and their servers were very slow and data enter took over a couple minutes to accomplish.

Again, why are there so many poor service providers providing services to real estate agents?

I think there is no need for them to improve their service to us... until, someone comes along and does it better. Then we'll see the others jumping into action, or going out of business.
