I thought syndicated articles didn't get the duplicate penalty. It is pretty common to see the same article in the top 5 places on a search.

The list of article directories is good. I have already tried to submit my articles to some directories from the list. But now I have chosen Ezine Articles and submit my "fresh" articles only there

I use ezine as well. However, Google's new algo gives little weight for Press releases. You can get a much bigger bang for your buck using other link building strategies.
