Press Release software

Not sure if this post fits in this category, but I'm really intereted in putting out quality press releases. I've taken a look at the various sites that offer press releases for a fee. Are they worthwhile or are the free press release sites just as good?

I bielieve PRWeb.com is the biggest press release distributor that can provide the most eyeballs, and opportunities for incoming links. Sometimes even reporters from different newspapers can contact you for an interview if your press release is really worth talking about. I don't know any free sites that have PR publicity and connections as PRWeb... Digg can sertainly provide excellent exposure, links and phone calls again, if your news is worth talking about, presented right and gets to the home page of Digg.

i haven't tried press release before but i guess it's a great way to share about your new product or site. But it should be in a press release format not just copy paste style.
