Sam, one of the directory members sent me an email asking about the New Link Added email notification and what he needs to do with it. I think this is quite beneficial feature and others can use this data to their advantage (in positive way), so I would like to post our email discussion here.

Thank you for your time and any suggestions you offer.

Exchanging links with highly relevant web sites, even better - getting inbound links from highly relevant pages is a good practice as far as maximizing your web site's exposure and obtaining legit "trust" from the search engines. The better and well promoted site links to you - the better your own site looks in the eyes of search engines. The more quality content you put on your site - the better it looks in the eyes of your clients. Search engines like original, fresh and frequently updated content too. So combining all these criteria together it creates basic long term strategy for your site development and marketing. Stick to it and it will pay off.
The directory has this pretty useful feature notifying members about new web sites added to the directory. You can review the newcomers and see if they are at any interest to you, your visitors and would benefit in any way to your site by mutual advertisement, referral opportunities or other business/social relationships. I do not organize any "program" around it - its all up to you. I'm just letting you know and you can choose how you can utilize this data.
Hope this helps!
