this is quite vague question...

Here are a few sites that might be helpful:

www.RealEstateABC.com
www.Trulia.com
www.Zillow.com
www.RedFin.com

If you have anything specific in mind, I'm sure someone can reply to that

Max i would think that you would understand why linking to Trulia and Zillow isn't the best idea. They serve no purpose in the industry and link will just help them clutter up the top pages of the SERP's. At least add a no follow tag or something .

No I didn't forget, you do understand the industry and why sites like that are of no benefit.

True story. My Mom (an accountant) was doing taxes for a client. This client start to brag about how they sold their home buy owner and they never had to talk to an agent. So my Mom asked how they knew what their home was worth...they said Zillow. My Mom asked for the closing statement and noticed what they sold the home for, she asked if the paperwork was correct. They said yes it is, we actaully got full price with in 12 hours of putting our home on the fsbo site.

To make a long story short, they sold the home for over $150k less than it was worth and the buyer flipped it ithout doing any work for $148k more than they paid in a couple of days. They could have gotten more if they waited a little longer, but why bother when you can get it sold that fast.

So why do I hate Zillow, it puts information that means nothing in the hands of people who think they know more than they really do. Real estate can't be valued by a computer, there are WAY to many other factors that play into it.

Ken, I knew my comment would bother you, so I messed with you

Honestly, the original question was about general real estate info - so those sites provide general info. As far as promotion - I don't promote them, I don't have any assosiation with them and I have no personal experience working them beside visiting them online. I think that the information you know about those services is valuable and can be used to your own advantage and to the advantage of your clients. Since we're all here - why not to educate people, let them try if any doubts - since they know we're here and they can ask us any question, I think they'll come back and ask our opinions in the end.

I figured you might be messing with me, but all of that a no follow tag would still be a good idea. They don't need any extra links and it's hard enough to keep up with the big boys.

Well, as far linking goes - I think it works both ways and should benefit us as well
