I pasted my url into Yahoo's site explorer ( http://www.PinehurstListings.com ) and have questions about the results.
Looking at the links I see many pages I still need to work on the title, etc. and many pages I thought ( I have ) I deleted and shows to be gone in Google. But what concerns me the most is towards the bottom on the list are many pages I never built - well they are actually my nav bar surrounding or framing other sites that I never linked to. It almost appears that old urls that should have faded away are being redirected, I call it hijacked, by these other websites. How, why, is there anything I can do abut this, and are these affecting my websites rankings? I'm very curious about this - anyone know what I have stepped in now? Thanks

Don, it just seams like your frames URLs were indexed by Yahoo. I wouldn't really worry about them too much since PageRank is only a Google's value and Google doesn't have those URLs. They didn't hijack anything of yours, and from what I understand about frames - there is nothing to cache either. So... don't worry about them.

Thanks Max ~ I understand about Google not indexing these pages, and I only meant I felt hijacked because my URL was being used to frame websites I have no earthly idea of what they - where they came from and how this happened.
Probably some deal AA has with Yahoo now or Yahoo still punishing those of us with a site at AA I was thinking these might be old URL pages I have deleted but Yahoo is hanging on to them and redirecting to multiple sites - probably for a fee. Sort of freaked me out as you can tell, and I still don't like it Oh Well - back at it |

Don - I thought the penalty on AA sites had been lifted.

Not what I meant in jest, but close.
I was just musing - Nothing serious I still don't like Yahoo or AA or whoever or whatever using my URL to redirect to any page they want - some are really our competitors on the web. ![]() |
