Wink Blogging and backlinks

I have started a blog and have been working on it a couple of months. i am having a hard time understanding the links and backlinks as how they differ from a regular site. You can direct me to some article if you would. I think I am still in the sandbox but I am adding content daily. Would it help me to be a featured site here? neworleanscondotrends.com

your site index 158 urls and 45 back links. (according to google ). Do you mean internal links and back links ? or blog links and normal site links ?

Default Blog rankings

Just wondering how the back links are different in a blog as you seem to have many more. When I see the backlinks they have a different number? All the links cannot be the same as it comes to rankings? The big question is getting a blog ranked higher on search engines different than a regular website.

When I was at SES new york earlier this year, I had a chance to discuss this with the panelists in the organic rankings forum. The consensus is that blogs are more topically relevant in the immediate sense, and that blog postings can quite quickly rise to top rankings. However, they have a tendency to fade if they don't continue to get link support. Another piece to chew on about blogs is that they actually feed data OUT to the search engines, whereas static sites have to wait for the crawlers to come to the page.

Good point here - but you still need to get your RSS feed out for the search engines.

Default Glenn check out the backlinks I have developed!

I got the site in Jan and its a PR4 with first page ranking. There are a number of ways to submit them to Digg and there are mosre directories that seem to work. I alos try to make several comments on other blogs per day. It is still like an experiment. www.neworleanscondotrends.com.

I am starting to work on pages now in addition to the posts.
