DMOZ does suck what what I've heard and experiences myself. I don't think it's nearly important as some people think. You don't see neither DMOZ nor Google's directory pages ranking crazy for every term like wikipedia does....

..speaking of Wikipedia - my wife is in college right now and she said that here in Phoenix in ASU, and in community colleges professors tell you right away never to use Wikipedia for any of your researches, and Wikipedia is not allowed to be on resources used/reference list as they see it as non-reliable source which is edited by whoever wants to. Wow, I never thought about it this way.. what a different perspective comparing to SEO and Google.

I've always wondered who would use Wikipedia as a reliable source for anything - soon as I found out that most anyone can add to it and edit it - that's like believing those emails you get from the (gravely ill) Prime Minister of India's wife asking you to hold their millions for her until he dies etc etc etc.

I do occasionally use Wiki to check out random facts that I wonder about, such as where a small country is located, or what some strange term means - but it's only ever for my personal use, and I wouldn't ever use it as definite fact.

Even though Dmoz is good to ranking but it takes too much to listing in it's directory

I think there is something fishy going on there. Here in Cyprus there is only 9 companies listed out of thousands and I know many people have tried to be listed and the only ones listed are the real big companies.
