Thanks Max - good (long) read but questions arise.
Would anyone consider creating a work group to share expenses for mutual benefits of lets say, keyword subscriptions. I also noticed a difference in the article for search results returned from mma and MMA. Hmmm if this is true then I have not only missed the boat, but have fallen out and got tangled up in the anchor line. If CAPS make a difference then I have a easy fix, I would think. But I question this because in my tests I have received nearly identical returns. So Which is best, pinehurst real estate, Pinehurst Real Estate, PINEHURST REAL ESTATE, in content and meta? does it make the difference the mma and MMA showed? Wow!?!

Don, the results you saw are the keywords that people type in into the search field, but as far as I know - search engines are case insensitive. The search results are the same for MMA and for mma. The same applies to your targeted phrases as well
![]() What is interesting - to find variations of phrases or synonyms that other don't compete for, or competition is minimum. I plaid may be 2 hours with keyword research tools (after I read that article) and found some weird searches. I also found a few long (4-6 words) phrases that no one had exact match for in their titles, nor in the content, but those phrases had traffic higher than "phoenix real estate". The phases I found are irrelevant to real estate, but it's an interesting fact. Try searching for some community names + real estate and see if there are any searches performed for them. I found over a dozen communities that have about 20-25 searches a day (each), and competition is minimum. My logic tells me if I put up quality information about each of the communities, and get a few inbound links to them, I probably could dominate the search and generate a couple hundred uniques a day just for those communities. The traffic would be exceptionally targeted, so I think if you get at least a few leads a week from that traffic - you may have better chances converting them as well. Some food for thought

Here is a really good Keyword Suggestion Tool that you might want to try and play around with, seobook.com/keyword-tools, I also use WordTracker. I do not like googlerankings.

Keeping an eye on goggle analytics also helps identify potential long tail words to look into.

Use of various keyword tools is important because you can get different results which could negatively affect your traffic if you choose a term that appears to have "traffic". In addition, traffic patterns or kw usage when a search is done can vary over time.
