Google Penguin Update Killed Your Real Estate Website? FIX IT

•    Details of the huge shadow inventory of vacant foreclosed real estate is starting to shake prices.  There is speculation that as these homes now come to the market in higher numbers that they will push down prices further and increase the supply of property well above the market demand.

Effective today, the Bank of Canada has raised the "qualifying interest rate" from 5.24% to 5.44%

What does this mean for Canadians who are looking to buy real estate or finance a home?

When I see things such as:  "AGF Trust is offering two 5 Year Fixed Quick Close options at reduced commission rates"
show up in my inbox I cannot help but to cringe.  I realize that the lenders in their limited wisdom are attempting to provide us with a tool to avoid losing business to others such as Bank of Montreal, but they are killing the industry and us by doing so.

I don't need their help to give my money away.

 I don't need them to give me permission to do so. 

     Recent studies of the US and Canadian real estate markets presents a tale of two markets on distinctly different paths.  While the global economy continues to struggle, the opinions and predictions of what 2012 holds in store for the real estate market of each country is quite interesting.

Agents need a fresh approach to enjoy success in the current real estate market.  They need to be more aggressive and take charge and help their real estate clients.

Here is a great reblog of an article that discusses the statistics of a typical real estate client.  It is important that real estate professionals understand who their clients are and changes in the evolution of the client.

Here is a great article that has stats and commentary by some of the leading insiders and followers of the US real estate market.  It is interesting to see some of the actual numbers and to hear the interpretations of it.

Wow, I have been so busy the past while helping others with their business that I have neglected to spend adequate time on my own business it seems.  Crazy that this is exactly what I tell others to avoid doing.  So what is one to do but get right back at it and to pick up where they left off.  This is a far better choice than avoiding getting back to business and using your procrastination as another excuse to continue to avoid things.

This is a great post that discussed internet traffic.  It is something that I enjoy studying and something that having an understanding of can be of a huge benefit to you.

The University of Lethbridge attracts thousands of students to the city each year.  This year has been a busier than usual student season.  It has also been a rainy season.  Here is a quick pic I took with my blackberry of the university sitting down in the the green coulees.  You dont often see them green, they are usually prairie brown.
