Got this in my e-mail from one of my Canadian friends this morning.  Being an American-Canadian living in Canada for 6 years, I see the differences & similarities between the U.S. & Canada!  This joke could be applied both in the U.S., Canada or any other European country....

 

Sometime this year, we taxpapers may again receive an Economic Stimulus payment.  This is a very exciting new program.  I will explain it using the Question & Answer format:

Normally, I usually see a beautiful sunny, colorful sunrise, like the photos on the sides of my blog.  Today, I woke up to a quiet, sunny, beautiful morning and found an unknown, interesting and very artistic creature on my observation deck.   Came up the stairway and looked through one window to find this!

Canada's national resale housing activity climbed to the highest level of any third quarter on record.  MLS systems of Canadian real estate boards totalled 135,182 units in the third quarter of 2009, according to statistics released by The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). This is the highest level of activity on record for the period from July to September. The number of transactions was up 18 per cent from the third quarter of last year, representing the biggest year-over-year increase since early 2002.

Lately, I have read many articles about Realtors and their Brokers complaining about how bad their listings are going and how the economy is getting worse.  Well, since at this moment in time, if your hands are tied, make an effort and donate, either your time, your money or your service during these critical and unprecedented times.

With the holiday season around the corner, I honesty believe the best thing you can do for yourself (as a professional) and your family, is to donate your time, money or service to:

Today, my daughter and I took a 2-1/2 hour drive east from Saint John to Moncton, New Brunswick. We were both VERY EXCITED!!! We both took the time to go see our former U.S. President William Jefferson Clinton speak in Moncton.  The former New Brunswick Premier Frank McKenna (now a hot shot for TD Financial Bank) introduced my former president to 6,000 people by the time the Moncton Coliseum was full.

With the OPEC indicating that they have started the ball rolling on reducing production of oil for the world market, I say challenge us!

Here's a link to a video on magnetic technology and how it would work as a car engine.  My question is:  WHERE WAS THE AMERICAN AUTO INDUSTRY, WHEN SOMEONE THOUGHT THIS OUT?

EVICTED HOMEOWNERS, There Is A Way Out, SUE!!

Okay, ActiveRain members, if 1 out of 10 homeowners in the U.S. will lose their homes in the next few years and are being evicted due to banks raising their mortgage rates or renters being evicted due to their "slumlords" not paying their mortgage payments.

My question is, what are they going to do with all those homes that are vacant?  Won't people break in and trash the evicted homes?  Doesn't that bring the value of the other existing home values way, way down?  WHAT ARE THE BANKS THINKING???

I sometimes believe the auto industry was sleeping with the oil industry to keep our dependence on oil!!  And here we are BAILING THE AMERICAN AUTO INDUSTRY OUT!
