..... Tile and Stone and Paint - OH MY!
This is Part 2 of 3 of this Westlake Village Bathroom Remodel. Part 1 was, "We Love the Demolition Phase" which showed the initial process that change and progress were about to be made not only in the home, but in the lives of the Home Owners.
You see, Platinum Home Staging, Inc. is so much more than just Professional Home Staging. We also provide full service Interior Design and Decor, and are located right here in the heart of the Conejo Valley. In fact, we are currently the ONLY Interior Design Company in Southern CA that is endorsed by Pottery Barn.
This dated bathroom had 30 year old tiles in the shower, green slate floors and a red marble vanity counter top. Nothing matched, not a single element was cohesive, and this was THE guest powder and bath room that every Guest uses when visiting the home.
Without giving away all the details just yet, here are a few progress pictures of the current process:
After complete demolition of the bathroom from top to bottom, a beautiful natural stone called Ice Slate was selected for the shower which has beautiful hues of blues, grays and a touch of gold. This stone gives the shower a modern, yet natural feel.
Another natural stone called Sea Grass was selected for the shower pan and bathroom floor. With subtle hints of grays and greens, this tile is actually littered with fossilized sea shells. Of which, the cross segments in each tile give it interest and depth.
This tile was also brought into the shower utilized as a trim around the entry, so that Guests are never stepping on a "rough" surface, as well as the shower niche for personal items (not shown).
So far, the overall look is stunning and the Home Owners could not be happier with the current results. Check back next week for the full reveal including the hardware, lighting and all new vanity.
