w.Bloggar Run-time Error Fix

I found out that on some computers w.bloggar v.4 generates a run-time 2006 error that gives "Invalid Tools collection index" message. It come up on the second run of the application and you're not able to do anything. Well, it didn't happen on my home computer, but it happened on one of our agents laptop. I did a little research and found out that in fact it does happen and a known bug. Since I mentioned this software as an excellent tool, I also would like to publish step-by-step instructions how to fix the problem. Here we go:
  1. Open Windows Explorer. (Right mouse click on the Start button, then Explore from the contextual menu)
  2. Navigate to the folder:
    1. Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\w.bloggar\ Note: By default the Application Data folder is hidden. To make it visible follow these steps:
    2. In Windows Explorer click on Tools>Folder Options.
    3. Select the View tab.
    4. Select Show hidden files and folders.
    5. Deselect Hide extensions for known file types.
    6. Click Apply and OK.
  3. Find the file named wbloggar.chg. Double click on the file as you would like to open it. Windows dialog will pop-up - choose "Select the program from a list" option and click Ok. Pick Notepad from the given list of programs an click Ok. Notepad will open the file with whole bunch of nonsense - highlight everything (Ctrl+A works just fine) and delete the content. Save file. Right click on the file in the Explore and select properties. Place a check mark in the box named Read Only. The program then cannot modify it. Click OK and start the program. It should be working fine after that.
I'm sure next version will be fixed, but until then this workaround works just fine.
