Real Estate Connect Conference in San Francisco July 26-28, 2006

This year annual Inman Real Estate Connect conference is scheduled on June 26-28 in San Francisco. I never attended one, but I'd really like to especially since it's getting more interesting every year now. This years (July) featured speakers are:

  • Craig Newmark, Founder & Customer Service Representative of the largest listing source on the Web, Craig's List

  • Dave Liniger, Founder & CEO of the biggest real estate company in the world, RE/MAX

  • Rich Barton, Founder & CEO of the hot, new online real estate company that has the industry buzzing,

  • Bradley J. Inman, Founder & Publisher of Inman News, the world's leading independent real estate news service and content provider to 50,000+ websites and 250+ U.S. newspapers

  • Plus an additional 65 fantastic speakers!

Also, I'd like to mention that this year CTR (Center for RealtorԚ® Technologies) sponsors second day of the conference called Developer Day which is designed specifically for the new real estate technologist.

Developers Day will feature a working lunch with open source guru and Slashdot Founder, Rob Malda (a.k.a. CmdrTaco), and other great speakers including:

  • Mark Lesswing, Vice President, Center for REALTORԚ® Technology

  • Steve Lombardi, Virtual Earth Program Manager, Microsoft

  • Chandu Thota, Software Development Engineer Lead, Microsoft

  • Glenn Kelman, CEO, Redfin

  • Ian Pilling, Marketing Manager, MapQuest Business Solutions

  • Mike Edelhart, CEO, Inman News & former Executive Editor, PC Magazine

Developers Day sessions will address topics critical to software professionals such as:

  • Mapping: The ultimate interface for real estate

  • Trends: Whatâ┚¬â”žÂ¢s driving real estate software development?

  • The Human Factor: Getting them to use what we build

  • Standards in real estate technology and who should set them

  • Developer Intensives: including mapping, search, document management, video integration, transaction management and analytics

  • Birds-of-a-Feather Roundtables: A gathering of tech tribes with banners on key development topics proposed by attendees

Looks like it's going to be very interesting event. I'm curious who is coming from web savvy realtors?
