Mesquite, NV is a resort destination for many including golfers and snow-birds. With a Population of only about 20,000 people the city sits near the Nevada-Arizona Border. Mesquite is probably best known to golfers for it's 9 Golf Courses, Big Break Mesquite, The World Long Drive Competition (held here annually), as well as many other golf tournaments. The Mesquite MLS is down 25-30% from January. We currently have just over 400 listings (homes, condos/townhomes, commercial, land) on the Mesquite MLS . When we started the year in January we had about 530 listings that were “active” or “for sale.” Since then we have seen a gradual decrease in homes listed on the Mesquite MLS. Fewer homes available and increased traffic should help those that are contemplating selling any time soon. Solstice Casino Update The long awaited Solstice Casino project, that many have been following, last month received its 404 permit from the Federal Government which had halted construction for months. The main issue was concerning a drainage wash on the front of the property which needed to be converted into a concrete culvert. They still have not announced a time-line for building and opening, but are moving forward with the project and excited to be over this huge hurdle.
